EtherNet configuration software
AMCI's SD17060E2 Networked Series Stepper Indexer / Driver for Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP, or Profinet networks reduces stepper control system costs by eliminating the need for a separate stepper controller in your PLC - we've built the indexer into the driver! Plus, programming and configuration over the network is easy because it uses the PLC's native software (eg. Studio 5000, TIA Portal, WindLDR, others). No extra software is required, and you don't need to learn another programming language. AMCI's SD17060E2 Integrated Series interfaces with your EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP, or Profinet compatible PLC (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron, Siemens, Automation Direct, and others), saving you time and money!
If you're seeking flexibility, AMCI's SD17060E2 Networked Series scores high marks. We've made it easy to add stepper axes wherever you need them on your Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP, or Profinet network, just plug in another SD17060E2 Networked Series drive and configure your network - done.
E2 Technology
E2 Technology by AMCI is an innovative new multi-protocol approach to Ethernet distributed I/O. Supported protocols include EtherNet/IP™, Modbus-TCP, and PROFINET.
● Dual-Port Networking
● Multi-Protocol
● Web Server
● Native Software
Fault Tolerant Network
The SD17060E2 has a built-in Ethernet switch. The embedded switch provides a network connection for additional devices without increasing the nodes on your existing ethernet switch. Fault tolerant connections can detect a break in the network and redirect the network traffic maintaining communication and system up-time. See the DLR video tutorial on the bottom of the page to learn more.
Design Features
Besides connectivity with Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP, and Profinet, AMCI's SD17060E2 Networked Series boasts several features over conventional stepper drivers. Our vari-step velocity control provides unsurpassed smoothness and performance independent of the user’s configured resolution. Smoothness is guaranteed even at the lowest resolutions. Plus, a narrow and compact design saves space, and versatile mounting options allow for panel or side installation.
Safety & Reliability
Standard AMCI safeguards also remain; including an interlock connection to prevent injury if the motor connector is removed while the driver is powered. Additional protections include short circuit protection - phase to phase and phase to ground- and over temperature circuitry.
Compatibility
Besides AMCI’s trademark reliability, the SD17060E2 Networked Series Stepper Indexer / Driver for Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP, and Profinet networks was engineered to power AMCI's complete line of high torque stepper motors, ranging in size from NEMA 17 to NEMA 34.
This combination of stepper motor driver and indexer provides the best performance for your application. Performance, price, and product all combine to offer you the best value.
