The SD17040C surpasses competing stepper drives with a host of features designed to simplify set-up, increase performance, and drive value.
SIMPLIFIED SET-UP & OPERATION:
AMCI's SD17040C was designed with you, the customer, in mind. Onboard dip switches simplify set-up & installation, eliminating the need for proprietary software & programming cables; plus field changes are a snap making it easy to reconfigure output current in 0.1A increments or microstepping resolution. Additionally, a selectable self-test feature is provided for troubleshooting your system. And because AMCI's SD17040C is an AC line-powered drive, you don't need a separate power supply, eliminating the cost and complexity of another component in your system. Plus, AMCI's SD17040C stepper drive is 100% compatible with all AMCI stepper controllers and motors, making it easy for you to specify a winning system.
POWER, PERFORMANCE, & SAFETY:
The SD17040C's is an AC line-powered stepper drive, supplying motor current through a 170V bus. The drive's exceptional power combined with anti-resonance circuitry delivers the smoothest, most reliable performance possible in a stepper motor system. This driver also includes an automatic feature to lower motor current anytime the motor is left at rest for more than 1 second.
Configurable features such as microstepping resolution, automatic current reduction, and anti-resonance make it easy to maximize the SD17040C's performance for your application. Plus safety features include an interlock connection to prevent injury if the motor connector is removed while the driver is powered. Additionally, short circuit protection - including phase to phase and phase to ground- and overtemperature circuitry comes standard.
RELIABILITY BY DESIGN:
AMCI's SD17040C is a compact, but powerful AC powered 4.0 Arms microstepping motor driver designed with performance and longevity in mind. Reliability is guaranteed. The SD17040C is purpose built for demanding applications, starting with board-level components rated to 105°C (221°F) letting you take full advantage of the drive's compact size.
Unlike most industrial stepper drives with electronics rated to 85°C (185°F), AMCI's SD17040C unit can be installed into tight spaces without thermal issues; supplemental fans or cooling aids are NOT required...AMCI's SD17040C runs cool by design. Plus, you can choose optional panel or side mounting for added flexibility during installation.
COMPACT SIZE & CUSTOMIZATION:
Using DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology enables the SD17040C's sleek, space saving design compared with other drives that rely on bulky, analog-based circuitry. The DSP technology also makes it possible for AMCI to customize the drive's performance. Custom microstepping resolutions or preset motion profiles can be configured without undergoing a product redesign, enabling AMCI to offer unique solutions at competitive prices for volume orders.
AMCI's SD17040C microstepping motor driver delivers unparalleled value, performance, and reliability. Request a quote from AMCI today on this best-in-class stepper driver, priced for a wide variety of applications.
