Terryville, CT - May 21, 2009 - Available in three different versions, AMCI’s 2600 Series PLS (Programmable Limit Switch) Controller Modules are the only PLS Modules for Allen Bradley’s CompactLogix PAC and MicroLogix 1500 PLC. These high speed PLS Modules enable throughput times of 20 microseconds, practically eliminating variability in output control. Hi-speed PLS I/O are wired directly into the card, eliminating the need for external relay boards and relays.
The 2600 Series PLS modules are available in three different versions, the 2611, 2612, and 2613. Each version combines a resolver interface and 16 virtual PLS outputs. The 2612 PLS module includes 8 additional physical hi-speed PLS I/O, and the 2613 PLS module includes 16 additional physical hi-speed PLS I/O. Virtual outputs are programmed in the same way as physical outputs, and can be monitored and controlled by your PLC ladder logic program.
The 2611 PLS Module is the perfect choice for users that currently wire the outputs of a Stand Alone Programmable Limit Switch into a PLC input module. For users looking to transition from ControlLogix to CompactLogix, the 2600 Series PLS provides a functionally equivalent solution to the 1756 PLS. The 2600 Series modules report the state of its outputs directly to the PLC’s input registers, eliminating both the input module and any additional wiring necessary to connect the two together.
Standard features include slaving, stitching, ANDing, speed compensation, and timed outputs. AMCI created the 2600 Series programmable limit switch controller module to satisfy a wide range of packaging, press, and general automation applications requiring PLS control. When it comes to hi-speed PLS applications, the cost effective 2600 Series PLS simplifies programming, and maximizes PLC performance.
