The 2600 series programmable limit switch controller module for Allen-Bradley's CompactLogix PLC is available in three different versions, the 2611, 2612, and 2613. AMCI created these three versions to satisfy a wide range of packaging and general automation applications.
For stamping press applications customers can choose a 2611-13, 2612-13, or 2613-13 module which offers brake monitoring and die protection functionality standard.
The 2611, 2612, and 2613 modules all have 16 virtual outputs. These outputs are programmed in the same way as the physical outputs, and are useful for the less time critical portions of your applications that can be monitored and controlled by your PLC ladder logic program.
For example: The 2611 module is a perfect choice for users that currently wire the outputs of a Stand Alone Programmable Limit Switch into a PLC input module. The 2611 module reports the state of its outputs directly to the PLC’s input registers, eliminating both the input module and all of the additional wiring needed to connect the two together...saving time & money!
The 2612 and 2613 modules combine the functions of the 2611 module with hi-speed physical PLS I/O that are managed onboard, enabling throughput times of 20us. Plus these hi-speed PLS I/O are wired directly into the card, eliminating the need for external relay boards and relays - more savings!
AMCI's innovative 2600 series PLS design simplifies installation, cuts costs, and maximizes your PLC's performance when it comes to hi-speed programmable limit switch applications.
